Island 2018 - First Trip Fourth Day: Wood's Hall

Sunday, June 24, 2018

After breakfast Dale had to skedaddle to work but Fran and Charlie had a little time to do some shopping before catching their ferry. We tried stopping at Madeline Island Candles but they were closed. We also went to Dockside and then ended up at Wood's Hall where Fran bought a bangle. Lots of interesting stuff in there.

Island 2017 - 2nd Trip Day 7: Woods Hall

Thursday, July 7, 2017
Took a little walk on my own after our drive. Checked out Woods Hall for the first time in all the years I've been coming up here. Great place with very nice handmade goods for sale. Their showroom went through a recent remodel and it looks fantastic.

Main Street Madeline Island 2012 - St. John's UCC

The only online information I could find about St. John's United Church of Christ was on Flikr. I don't know how accurate the following information is.

"This is the only Protestant Church on Madeline Island. It is significant in the area of religion, and is a local example of 'Tudor-Revival' details in the arch. It was built in 1925 for the Evangelical and Reform Church, which began a mission to the Native Americans in 1922. A merger with the Congregational Church in 1957 formed the current U.C.C. now occupying this building."
