While Dale took a canoe ride with Maggie (at 6 a.m.), Athena and I took a little hike around the property. Athena is LOVIN’ it. All new sights and smells.

Maggie and Cindi’s place (not shown above) is on the Chippewa River. They recently bought the adjacent property which has this rustic looking trailer on it. This is where we’ll be staying. Maggie and Cindi have named it The Bear Lodge.
After settling in and having a quick dinner Dale and I walked next door to visit Maggie, Cindi, and their kids. They’re all so excited to have us visit. It’s so nice to be wanted!! Photos taken at about 8 p.m.

Almost to Maggie and Cindi’s. This photo similar to the one in the previous post except this one taken from the car while just outside Bruce, Wisconsin about an hour and a half later. The corn’s almost as high as an elephant’s eye.
